Bethel and Pines Chapel Presbyterian 

2nd River Baptisms and Service 

On Sunday, August 18, 2024, Bethel and Pines Chapel Presbyterian held their 2nd River Baptisms and worship Service at the Shenandoah Family Campground in Verona! There were around 100 in attendance with about 25 being baptized in the Middle River in a beautiful setting.

Worship Service began at 11:00pm  with a sermon by Elder Derek Almarode, pastor of the two churches, on the Baptism of Jesus. An offering was taken up to be split among the two churches to aid in their outreach programs. A wonderful covered dish luncheon followed, with food all stretched out on many picnic benches (and even on the seats!). 

After the service and luncheon everyone headed down to the nearby river for a baptism service for those who were being baptized for the first time, or those who wanted to reaffirm their baptism. There was a very special baptism for a little one named Aria. Photos from the event are below!
